Destin wedding weekend

Posted on May 24, 2009 by

We've been crazy busy - as you can probably tell from our lack of posting. We just got home from Destin for a wedding and we stayed a few extra days for a mini-vacation.

Look at how gorgeous the green water is! Probably why they call it the Emerald Coast:

We stayed at the Sandestin Resort's Residence Inn and you could spend an entire week checking out this resort. They have a little village with shops and restaurants, a marina, a beachfront restaurant and pool area and more! We didn't want to leave.

We went to dinner one night at Finz - the restaurant right on the beach. And what did we find in the parking lot? An original AND rare Laser Red FX! I was really excited - I've only seen them in pictures not in person. I am not too keen on the color but it was still fun to see it! Here is a pic I took - it was night time so it is a bit hard to see the color:

Here is a pic I found on Craigslist - sorry - stolen photo so you can see the red in the daylight!

We also went to dinner at The Back Porch in Destin. It was a great open air restaurant right on the beach. There was a wedding reception upstairs - that would be a fun one for us to take photos of!

When we got home to Orlando we realized it has been raining here for days - and our fig tree is going nuts! I can't wait for all the figs!

And I finally added a few weddings to our gallery this week - check them out!
