The news that Kate Spade commuted suicide is just awful. I don't know Kate. But I wonder what was going on in her mind. I imagine she was lonely or depressed or unhappy.
A few different people mentioned to me something like, "How could someone with so much fame, a fashion line and endless money kill themselves?" Unfortunately, material things don't bring love and happiness. We've seen this all too often with celebrities. It is just heartbreaking that they couldn't be saved.
I walked past a Kate Spade store today and I saw this in the window:
