We were working on our taxes and I had a whole envelope full of WPPI Vegas receipts. I started to read them out loud to Chris and I realized I LOVE food! I would read "Okada - oh man do you remember that beef carpaccio?" and then it was "Sensi - Oh that was the best Bento Box ever!" and then "Olives - oh that pizza was great and do you remember there was a photographer sitting next to us?" Then I read "Sbarro" and said "when did we eat at Sbarro? I don't remember that!" and realized I only have memories of the unique food places in Vegas!
I really missed going to WPPI this year - and it isn't the classes and trade show I missed. It was the restaurants! I really want to try Michael Mina, Alex, Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy. And I'd love to go back to Mix.
