We are really enjoying La Spezia, Italy! We knew it was a port town, but we didn't realize it was a cruise ship port town! We are already talking about taking a cruise in this area in the future.
Our apartment is right in the heart of town where most of the streets are pedestrian-only. There are lots of shops and restaurants. I've already spent a few hours alone out wandering and shopping!
A nice older man came up to me on one of my walks and starting talking to James. I said "Non parlo Italiano" because I only know a few basics in Italian. He just kept talking and talking - he wasn't talking to me. He was talking to James! James loves Italy and the Italians love James. I know I just posted about this in Florence a few weeks ago. James really does respond to "Che Bello!" or "Ciao!"
I love walking down by the really big yachts and watching the crew clean them and keep them nice for the owners. This yacht was one of my favorites with a wild paint job. I like the name of the boat, too!
