Plage des Marinières in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France

Plage des Marinières in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France

November 14, 2018 · Sandra

The Plage des Marinières is right by the train station in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France. When we arrived by train, we saw people playing on the beach with their kids and dogs. I was excited that the beach was dog friendly! We walked over there one day and the beach was empty. We saw a sign that said no dogs. But the sand was covered in dog paw prints. Many other beaches we've found in our travels are dog friendly in the off-season. So we decided to take a chance and play on the beach with James. We were playing for a few minutes and then Chris said "The Police are here." and I started to run!!! Chris then said "Sandra, don't RUN from the police!" Oops! I was trying to run up to the stairs to leave the beach - I wasn't trying to run from the police. I was completely panicked and wondering what the fine was going to be for being on the beach when I looked up and the police car just drove right past us. WOW. I guess we aren't in trouble after all!

This is just a short video of our time on the beach before the police drove by!
