It was a quick and easy train ride to Monaco from Villefranche-sur-Mer so we made a day trip out of it. Monaco has one of the most beautiful, modern train stations:

We did a little shopping and James was totally bored:
Photos of us in front of the Casino Monte-Carlo - it was fun seeing this in person after seeing it in the movies!
On the right you will see the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo and it is getting a facelift. Instead of ugly scaffolding, there is a printed "front" so it looks nicer while being renovated!
