One thing I love about Colorado is that so many people have so many outdoor hobbies. It has been an unusually cold and wet May (now June!) and people are still skiing! I love seeing the skis and snowboards mounted in roof racks on top of cars driving down the road. Then you also see bikes in bike racks, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and river rafts. You also see trailers with RVs, boats and SxS Rzrs. All of these fun toys make me smile!
But one roof rack had me perplexed. I kept seeing them and I just couldn't figure it out. Every time I went to point one out to Chris, he was driving and he missed it. I searched and searched - what was this long skinny tube with a bigger part at the end?! Well, I finally got my answer! It is a roof rack for fishing poles!!! The embarrassing thing about this is I married into a family of fishermen and I couldn't figure this one out! But once I DID figure it out - it made total sense! The bigger part at the bottom is for the fishing rod's reel.
