We decided to take a road trip to Pierre to see the capitol building. Our GPS told us to take some paved two lane roads but I was looking at the map and decided a dirt road would be much more fun! We drove through miles and miles of farmland! It was unbelievable how much farmland we saw! And this was just one route - the whole state of South Dakota is covered in these dirt farm roads. We didn't have cell service once we turned off the main road. We had a feeling this would happen so we made some mental notes on the route. At one point we stopped to take this photo. The photo just doesn't do it justice on how far you can see!
