There is something about a store that has a huge variety of stuff and they make you feel like you are getting a "deal" for constantly sending coupons. I don't think I've ever paid full price for something at Macy's! Well, maybe something in the home department since they don't always honor the coupons there. But I had a gift card, a coupon and I went during a sale and my KitchenAid mixer was half the original price!
Then yesterday I had one of those secret sale gift cards - they send you a gift card and it could have $10, $25, $50 or $500 on it. The last time I had $25. This time? $50! I was so excited! I bought a bunch of jewelry but it came out to $48 so I didn't pay a thing.
Another thing I like - if you have their credit card you get 15 free alterations a year. Nordstrom does this no matter what and that is nice. But I have the Macy's card and it is great to take my jeans there. The place near our house is $25 for a jeans hem! Yikes!
