I've always thought sun parasols were just fun - and living in Florida you think you would see more of them. But usually people just walk with regular rain umbrellas to keep the sun off of them.
Did you see the recent Gossip Girl Episode where Dan and Georgina were in Italy? Georgina had a huge black sun parasol and it was very over the top and dramatic - much like her character!
