My Inauguration Gown

My Inauguration Gown

January 18, 2017 ยท Sandra

This is my 2017 Inauguration Gown! Well, it is the one I would pick if I was invited to the Big Apple Ball. So far, I haven't heard from President Elect Trump or soon to be First Lady Melania. But they still have 48 hours and I do accept last minute invitations.

Monique Lhuillier Off-the-Shoulder Ruched Mikado Gown

When we first moved to Washington, DC I loved browsing the different Macy's stores. The one downtown has all day dresses, pearls and suits. Almost every dress I can picture Michelle Obama wearing. And the pantsuits were all made for Hillary Clinton. And then out in Montgomery County the Macy's has a huge section for floor length ball gowns. Year round. This is a town where a lot of floor length gowns are worn! There are always fundraisers and balls and galas. In Florida, gala meant you could wear a short black casual dress. Not in Washington, DC!

And just in case the stunning red Monique Lhuillier gown is sold out when I get my last minute invitation, I do have two backup gown options for the inauguration.
