When we first talked about moving overseas, we played with the idea of taking our Toyota FJ with us. But we were worried it would be WAY too big. Most European cars are so small. We have a friend from California that moved to Switzerland and he sent his Toyota overseas. He had to remove some modifications and it took several months but he did it!
We have been in cities with public transportation so we haven't needed a car. But we do miss the FJ. Don't worry - we kept it! It is being stored (and moved around from time to time to start the engine and reposition the tires).
We get excited when we spot an FJ here in Europe. It is rare. But we do see them!
