Last snow of the Season

We arrived back in DC from New Orleans to news of another snow day. Here we were mid-March and getting more snow!



A few bulbs in our neighborhood popping up through the last snow of the season:

Then we headed down to the Tidal Basin to see how the cherry blossom trees were looking. We saw a lot of green buds - they were getting close! But still an overall gray wintery look to the area.

But these were popping up at the dog park and they made me smile! They were all over the grass and almost look like weeds. But maybe they are bulbs? I can't imagine bulbs were planted randomly throughout the park lawn so they must be some sort of spring weed:
