Apple TV

This is a pretty cool gadget that you may not have seen yet. Apple has released the new Apple TV (link no longer available) which is a box that allows you to play movies, music and TV shows through your TV as long as you get the stuff from iTunes through your home wireless network. Here's what it looks like:



I was really looking forward to this coming available but I have three issues with it so far.

First the storage space is not very good. It's only got a 40 Gig drive which Apple estimates will hold 50 hours of video. That's about 25 movies, so why not have a larger drive? (My laptop has 80 Gigs.)

Second, there should be a firewire plug so you could add a larger external drive for more storage space.

Third, why isn't there an input so you could also watch or record live TV instead of having to buy all of your content through iTunes? Wouldn't this thing be a cool alternative to TiVo (link no longer available)?
