There is something about buying a house that scares me. I am sure it is because houses in Orlando are insanely expensive. At least in Central Orlando. I suppose if we bought a house in Howie in the Hills it would be a quarter of the price, but then we would live 45 minutes from town! We found a house today that is awesome. It has a great layout, a gorgeous pool, on a cul de sac. It is perfect. But I can't help but think "wow, this house in Plano, TX would be a quarter of the price!"
Our friend has a house on Lake Butler - it is awesome. It is for sale. I want it. I just don't have $2.1 million to spend! I was thinking we could settle for a canal on a ski lake - that way I could at least get a boat and spend some time on the water without having to drag a boat to a ramp. But the canal front houses in town start at $600k - and that is for a 1050 square foot place! Yikes!
