I am scared of vaccinations

June 25, 2008 ยท Sandra

And not the needle - the stuff they actually put in you! I know how it works and I agree that vaccines have saved many, many lives. But are so many of them necessary today? I just read an article about a bride that died a month before her wedding - she died within a day after getting her Yellow Fever vaccine. That is really upsetting - especially since Yellow Fever is pretty rare (last case in the US was in New Orleans in 1905) and you can also prevent it with bug spray and clothing.

Another less-harsh vaccine is the flu shot - I am afraid to get that one, too! Too many people I know have still caught the flu and others got it as a reaction to the shot! I'll pass. I haven't had the flu yet and I don't work in a stuffy office with hundreds of others so I think I'm okay on this one.

This is a very controversial subject and you can see how I stand on this one. I already have WAY too much mercury in my body anyway.

That was my Soap Box for today!
