Orlando and the housing market

I am loving watching this housing market in Orlando fall! I know it is sad for those folks that paid way too much and now they can't sell. But for the ones where we offered and they refused - I have to laugh! There is a house we put an offer on this time last year - we low balled them by nearly $100k. They counter offered with full price. We laughed and said good luck. They kept calling and asking for us to re-offer - HA! Keep in mind - at this time last year that house had already been on the market for 9 months! I've been watching the price fall - you know we were the ONLY offer they've had. I got the email today from my Realtor - the new low price? Our offer! How funny is that? But the housing market has fallen so much since our first offer, if we did re-offer again today, I would again go $100k lower than their now-price. I can't wait for our house to be worth what we paid for it 7 years ago. That means we can get a kick-ass house in Bay Hill for CHEAP when that happens! I've been watching the Bay Hill homes - many that were listed for $700k two years ago are now listed for under $500k.
