Understated Elegance

So I am sitting here on the couch in my PJs and watching an episode of Platinum Weddings. It seems like every time I watch this show the bride is saying "the theme of my wedding is understated elegance." I find it hard to describe 500 roses in ONE centerpiece and a $60k floral budget understated elegance. Oh, and the $215k bracelet the bride was given by her groom? Is that understated elegance, too? My soap box rant for the night...
