Venice, Italy and the Coronavirus

Venice, Italy and the Coronavirus

March 18, 2020 ยท Sandra

I saw this on Twitter today - the canals in Venice, Italy are clear because there is no traffic in them. I'm sure the constant movement of boats, ferries and gondoliers stirs up the bottom so the water is never clear. Look at this tweet from Kaveri in Italy:

Dolphins are also showing up in Venice:

To the north of Venice is our favorite town in Italy, Treviso. I found this drone footage of Visnadello and it is so weird to not see anyone walking around. There are a few cars on the main road. And look at the one parking lot - the cars are all spread out and not parked next to each other:

Even the doggies at the shelter in Treviso, Italy need love during this time - this one made me cry. The hashtag translates to "the hugs you can give." So sweet!
