Flashback... October 2004

This was a first for us, we were invited to go to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in 2004 by a local Balloonist and we had no idea what to expect.

What we saw was amazing and if you ever get a chance to go to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta you will not be disappointed. There were over 800 balloons on the same field and the night time events were unbelievable.

Our days started at 4:00am and we headed to the field where it was around 50 degrees. The cool thing about the Fiesta is that the wind along the ground blows 180 degrees opposite of the wind at a higher altitude, this allows the balloons to "circle" the field by going higher and lower.
