Leaving Gatlinburg

March 7, 2008 ยท Chris

On our way out of Gatlinburg we decided to drive through the National Park again. But this time we went through a less traveled part of the park on Highway 32 which goes through the North part of the park just south of Interstate 40. I think this is the funniest thing we've ever caught on film, what we were trying to show you is how many curves the road had and how steep it was on both sides of the road. Instead we ended up with a suprise...

What we discovered was that the road is paved in Tennessee, but not in North Carolina. It did continue on for a long way, but we decided to take the first turn we found to get to I 40 because we didn't want to come across a fallen tree an hour into our adventure when we had 9 more hours of driving ahead of us to get back to Orlando. So next time we are going to plan a day extra so we can take Highway 32 the entire way.
