Tibet Butler Preserve

August 4, 2008 ยท Sandra

Since we have done a ton of hiking out west lately, we decided to try a local hike we have never done before. So today we went to check out the Tibet Butler Preserve. I didn't bring my camera, but we did bring the dogs! I actually mis-read the Orange County Parks page thinking the icons at the bottom were for this park, but they were ALL of the icons! So dogs are not allowed in the park. We didn't see that sign until we left, so we got a good hour of hiking in. The trail took us an hour - we walked at a pretty good speed except during the really marshy parts. We also stopped at the overlook/dock for a few minutes. There was no one else there - we felt like we owned the place! Many parks in the area are like this - we had the same experience at Turkey Lake Park. But overall we had a great time and the dogs loved it! As long as no one is around, we would take them again.
