Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco

August 13, 2008 ยท Chris

Finally we made it to the Golden Gate Bridge, and it's much more impressive up close.

What we didn't know until we got there was that you can walk across the bridge and the pedestrian walkways are actually very nice, not to mention how many people are willing to snap your photo for you (in trade for you taking theirs of course).

You can also get a great view of Alcatraz from the bridge just in case you didn't remember to get your tickets a few months earlier when they were selling out.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a big attraction so there is much more to see than the bridge itself, there are plenty of monuments and historic photos around the bridge, and there is even a section of cable so you can see how big the cables really are.
