The Cape May Ferry

The Cape May Ferry

August 28, 2009 ยท Chris

This was a big ferry, it had 6 rows for cars (instead of the 4 rows on the previous two) the entire 2nd floor was an observation deck and cafeteria and there was a 3rd deck with more outside seating. We toured the ship and picked up some snacks before heading back down to the car.

The ferry ride was an hour and 20 min. I sat in the car reading "Emergency" by Neal Strauss and Sandra headed up top to get some sun and read some magazines. The great thing about this ferry was that most of the parking was covered so it wasn't hot and there was a nice breeze.

About half way across I jumped out of the car to take a photo of the ferry going the other direction and noticed a definite change in the temperature outside. It was finally cooling off, we had made it far enough North to escape the summer heat of the Southeastern, U.S.
