The small town of Auburn, Alabama

January 27, 2010 ยท Chris

Our Tom Tom was putting us in Auburn, Alabama around 5:30 pm but because all of us on the highway were going about 80 mph (shhh...) I got the time down to around 4:50 pm before stopping for gas near Birmingham. That's when we adjusted our route on the Tom Tom to take us along 280 rather than the Interstate adding 30 minutes to our trip and much more scenery!

We took a break to see Auburn, Alabama mainly because we wanted to see Auburn University, one of UF's SEC rivals. It was a cute little school, about half as big as UF and all of the kids were starting to move in with school starting in about a week. There were two girls wearing crisp new Auburn T-shirts posing for a photo near the edge of campus and a family taking photos at the Auburn University sign.

We let the dogs out to pee near Jordan-Hare Stadium which was funny because they were wearing their Orange and Blue Gator Collars.

We found a TCBY on our way out of town and had a short break before heading to our campground in Eufaula, Alabama.
