1948 Cadillac Convertible in Orlando

1948 Cadillac Convertible in Orlando

January 14, 2013 ยท Sandra

Last night we were driving home and we were behind a 1948 Cadillac Convertible! It was gorgeous! I was telling Chris that I felt like we were in Back to the Future (although Back to the Future was set in 1955, not 1948).

I did some searching and found that VIP Transportation Group (link no longer available) here in Orlando has one! So if you want a nice vintage Cadillac for your wedding car they can help you! I am guessing it was probably the VIP Transportation Group's Cadillac - what are the chances of another 1948 Cadillac in Orlando?

Here is the photo of the Cadillac from their website:

They have some other awesome classic cars you can rent for your wedding or any other special event. Check out their list:

1942 Packard Series One-Sixty Sedan

1948 Cadillac Convertible

1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Limousine

1957 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II Convertible

1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III

1997 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III LWB

Looking back I wish we would have rented a classic car for our wedding when we got married. We didn't want a limo - we knew that much. We talked it over and we ended up renting a 2 door Jaguar that was AWESOME! I wish we would have delayed our honeymoon by a few days so we could drive the Jaguar around Orlando after the wedding. It was fun!

Last year for my birthday I rented a Corvette convertible and that was a treat. I rented it for a long weekend and we drove to the Highland Games in Sarasota, Crystal River to go stand up paddleboarding with the manatees and then we drove Highway 50 from end to end. Once the new 2014 Corvette Stingray is available to rent I am going to do that again! Maybe I will rent it in California and drive the entire Pacific Coast Highway?
