Dyson vs. Miele Vacuum Cleaners

Dyson vs. Miele Vacuum Cleaners

October 17, 2017 ยท Sandra

When we lived in Orlando, FL we had the corded Dyson Animal. It was a great vacuum cleaner and it was well worth the money for our 1800 square foot house. But when we moved to Washington, DC we didn't need a big corded vacuum. So we bought the cordless Dyson Animal. It was also well worth the money and I would buy both vacuums again if we moved back to the US. The only negative to the cordless vacuum was it would sometimes run out of battery power. I used to run it on high and I think it would last for 20 minutes or so. That was usually more than enough time to clean our tiny apartment. But when I did bigger jobs like vacuuming the couch or the ceiling fans I would have to do it in segments to make sure the battery would last.

And now here in Vienna, Austria the vacuum that came with our flat is a Miele canister vacuum. It is SO nice! Not only does it really suck up ALL of the dirt I see (sometimes the cordless Dyson would run over a larger piece of dirt and have trouble and would even spit it back out sometimes) it is also SO quiet! I am very impressed. I think I might actually switch my vacuum brand loyalty from Dyson to Miele!
