We are in Denver, Colorado and we took James to see his regular vet - my friend Sharon. I know Sharon from our time at the University of Florida! Sharon is an amazing veterinarian and we knew James would be in good hands with his ever growing chart from his anal gland infection.
So far, everything is looking better week by week for James. His bloodwork still isn't 100% but we are getting there. Sharon doesn't want to adjust J's medications just yet until his numbers are even better. Right now, James is on Prednisone to suppress his immune system. And he is also on Mycophenolate, also known as CellCept. It is a drug used for organ transplants to keep your body from rejecting the new organ. James didn't get any new organs, but we do want his body to not attack itself right now.
