Still no editing

I went to the Apple store today to ask for help on the DVD editing problem. What I found out is that I need to buy a gadget that allows me to import and save video from a VHS or DVD into my machine so that I can edit the video.

Before anyone thinks that this is a Mac problem, let me tell you that Windows has more limitations that keep me from editing the video.

The gadget runs from $150 to $250 and instead of spending the money on something that I may not use but once, I am going to check with a friend of mine that does videography professionally to see if he can help me to convert the footage so I can edit it on my own.
