Aspen Forest

Aspen Forest

April 1, 2009 ยท Chris

After leaving Bryce Canyon we drove through a forrest of Aspen Trees. It was so pretty it didn't look real.

It's the kind of thing that you have to stop and take a photo of even though you know your photo will never show it the way it looks in real life.

Every time I see these trees I think about that photo of the lone wolf walking through the Aspen trees and some guy just happened to snap a shot of him looking toward the camera. I know you've seen that photo as well, but seeing how open it is in a forest of Aspen trees makes you realize that sneaking up on anything would be next to impossible.

So my theory is that it wasn't a wolf at all but the guy's dog and he had pulled over to let the dog take a bathroom break. Of course you would take a photo of a bunch of Aspen trees like we did, and if your dog just happened to be sniffing around in the photo you might call his name and snap the photo... right?

Well here's my version since we didn't have the dogs with us on this trip.
